Despite the inevitable Monday dip, the film held its ground remarkably well, proving that the franchise's mass appeal remains fully intact across both domestic and international markets.

Steady Monday Performance Seals the Milestone

According to trade analyst website Sacnilk, 'Dhamaal 4' bagged Rs 8.35 crore nett across 10,598 shows in India on Monday. This crucial weekday test has propelled its total domestic nett collection to Rs 73.35 crore, with the domestic gross standing at Rs 87.85 crore. On the international front, the film added Rs 1.50 crore gross on Day 4, pushing its overseas total to Rs 14.50 crore. Consequently, the cumulative global gross after four days stands at an impressive Rs 102.35 crore.

Analyzing Theater Occupancy and Footfalls

On Monday, the film recorded an overall Hindi 2D occupancy of 17.79%. While morning shows started slow at 7.62%, footfalls gradually escalated throughout the day, registering 16.62% in the afternoon, 19.54% in the evening, and peaking at 25.15% during the night shows. Although this is a drop from Sunday's peak occupancy of nearly 49.46%, the steady evening and night show turnouts indicate strong sustainability for a working weekday.

Outperforming Comedy Competitors

In a head-to-head comparison with other recent high-profile comedy releases, 'Dhamaal 4' has managed to edge past its competitors. Over its first four days, the film's domestic nett collection of Rs 73.35 crore remained marginally ahead of Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome To The Jungle', which had gathered Rs 72.50 crore in the same timeframe. It also comfortably bypassed 'Bhooth Bangla', which secured Rs 61 crore during its initial four-day run.

Franchise Context and Future Prospects

Directed by Indra Kumar, 'Dhamaal 4' has officially registered the biggest opening weekend in the history of the beloved franchise. For context, the original 'Dhamaal' in 2007 opened to Rs 8 crore, 'Double Dhamaal' in 2011 earned Rs 22.78 crore, and 'Total Dhamaal' in 2019 brought in Rs 62.40 crore over their respective opening weekends. Despite receiving a modest 1.5-star rating from several prominent film critics who labeled the plot a repetitive 'treasure hunt', the commercial success of the film has already prompted the makers to greenlight 'Dhamaal 5'.
